Itinerary overview

Discover South Africa on a unique 12 day Blue Train safari to Cape Town, Hermanus and the Kruger National Park. Your trip starts with a 2 day journey to Cape Town onboard one of the most luxurious trains in South Africa, The Blue Train. Arrive in Cape Town for 4 exciting days of exploring the city, Cape Point and the Cape Winelands. Continue your trip to the famous town of Hermanus located on the Whale Coast to experience some of the best land-based whale watching in the world. Last but not least, fly to one of South Africa’s largest and most famous game reserves, the Kruger National Park, for a Big Five safari at an exclusive safari lodge.

The Blue Train is an eco-friendly transport option in itself, as opposed to traveling by car or airplanes which releases more harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

AHA Harbour Bridge Hotel & Suites runs an eco-friendly establishment with a recycling and water-saving program.

Whale Rock Luxury Lodge features grey water tanks, a recycling plant as well as solar panels for an eco-friendly energy alternative.

Imbali Safari Lodge supports conservation initiatives in support of Leopard, Wild Dog, and Ground Hornbill Monitoring. The lodge runs a recycling program for plastic, glass, cardboard and tins and a successful greywater system. LED lighting and low voltage light bulbs have been installed where possible and all the rooms are equipped with inverter air-conditioners. The staff members are from the local community and the lodge also supports a women’s initiative which runs an orphanage in the local village.

Please note This trip has been crafted for families which excludes children under the age of 16.
